Lynda Ruth Brown

About the artist


Lynda Ruth Brown is a painter and printmaker based in Bath, Somerset. Lynda trained at the Bath Academy of Art in the early sixties, and she works in the tradition of the painterly post-abstraction that Howard Hodgkin, Peter Lanyon and William Scott developed there. Her work is inspired by nature and geology.

Lynda is a member of Bath Artist Printmakers and Bath Society of Artists. She has shown extensively throughout the UK including the Art on Paper Show at the Royal College London and the Royal West of England Academy's Open Print and Summer Shows.
