About the artist

+
Helen Bridges is a London based artist who works predominantly in screen printing. She uses photography, drawing and typography to build up multilayered prints which are often inspired by specific locations. She tends to link recognisable objects and buildings with more abstract marks, textures and signs, representing the depth and richness of our surroundings and the city’s fabric.

Helen graduated from Camberwell College of Art in 2005 with a Masters in Fine Art specialising in Printmaking and later set up a screen printing studio in South London. She regularly exhibits in London galleries such as the Bankside Gallery, Menier Chocolate factory, Embassy Tea Gallery, Affordable Art Fair, Gallery 73, Mall Galleries, Vyner Street Gallery and The Redchurch Street Gallery (also in pop-up spaces, regular open studios, and further afield in Liverpool, Birmingham, Cambridge, Chile and Korea).

Her artwork and images have lent themselves to projects in art, illustration, public artwork, hotels and within commercial industries. She has collaborated with artists to create over 500 metres of hoarding designs as part of the regeneration of Barking as well as window graphics, light boxes and artworks for newly refurbished office spaces and hospital corridors. Artwork for private commissions in residential and public spaces usually includes personalised elements related to the company, locations or ethos.
