About the Artist

Lucille Clerc is a French Illustrator and printmaker based in London. She set up her studio after graduating from Central Saint Martins with an MA in Communication Design and previously from ENSAAMA in Paris with a DSAA in Visual Communication. Lucille works predominantly in the field of editorial design and illustration for books and magazines and occasionally also works on projects focusing interior or exhibition spaces.

Lucille's work is mainly created from her own drawings translated into prints. In the past two years, she has worked on projects for DC Comics, Granta, Magma bookstore, Laurence King Publishers, St James's Correspondent, The Loop, TGV Magazine, Metropolitan Eurostar magazine, MarieClaire, L'Obs, Fortnum&Mason, Farrow&Ball, Diamond architects and David Kohn architects.

Much of Lucille's personal work is inspired by London and she produces the majority of her work in silkscreen print. Everything is done by hand, all hand drawn, and often the layout is created on site while she is drawing. Working in this way means that the print is not a reproduction, but is in fact an original.
