Making a splash in Bath

Art plays a vital role in the feel of a home. The perfectly chosen artwork can bring a room to life and adds gravitas to a beautiful interior. That is why we love working with carefully selected interior designers, such as our friends at Woodhouse and Law in Bath, helping them and their clients to find the right art for their space.

To mark our ongoing collaboration with Woodhouse and Law, we have installed a painting by one of our talented artists – Jane Emberson – in their elegant window on Bathwick Hill. Please pop in and see them if you’d like to see the work in person.

Vital colour

Modern ArtBuyer artist Trudy Montgomery is a true exponent of colour and composition, building up layers of intense pigment to create her signature vibrant works. They are a pure mix of energy and balance, bringing life into their surroundings as seen here at Bath’s award-winning interior design house, Woodhouse & Law. To see this piece in person, please drop us a line or pop into the Woodhouse & Law showroom on Bathwick Hill.

Dressed to impress

To mark Bath in Fashion 2016, we’ve dressed one of Bath’s most historic homes with glorious contemporary art. The original residence of Jane Austen, now owned by Bath Boutique Stays, has been adorned with stunning artworks for the month of April to coincide with Bath’s annual fashion event. Contemporary art in a majestic Georgian setting epitomises classic style with a twist. The perfect combination.

Art prize jury service!

I’m honoured to have been invited onto the jury panel for the inaugural Camberwell Open Art Prize 2015, as part of the Camberwell Arts Festival.

The Camberwell Open is a new art exhibition aiming to present a snapshot of creative practice from artists based in, or associated with Camberwell, London. The standard of entries was very high, giving us a tough choice, but we selected three artworks that demonstrated exceptional talent and integrity. The work across the entire exhibition is incredibly diverse giving a real insight into creative practice in south London today.

The exhibition takes place from 6th June to 28th June at Fusion Lifestyle, Artichoke Place, London SE5, so do head over and see it. More information can be found here: http://thecamberwellopen.org

Farewell, Bathwick Hill

We’ve loved spending the past three months in our pop-up gallery on Bathwick Hill in Bath, but the gallery is now closed. It was wonderful to meet so many enthusiastic art collectors and lovers, and the experience has given us lots of food for thought as we move on to new projects. We’ve got the pop-up bug now, so we’ll keep you updated with news of any future pop-up galleries we’re planning!
